I grew up in Glenview so this book basically leapt into my cart when I saw it at Costco (in Glenview, of course).I found it very interesting. I've always been intrigued by the history of my little hamlet north of Chicago and this book provides a lovely pictorial trip down Memory Lane.
It was fun to see what familiar environs once looked like, to see urban legends confirmed and to catch glimpses of things I hadn't even imagined.
These Images of America series are charming.
